Vangeli Tsompanidis

Vangeli Tsompanidis is a Greek/Puerto Rican artist from Orlando Florida. Now based in New York City, he has performed in various regional productions, films, and cabarets. He studied musical theatre at Oklahoma City University, and acting with Mercedes Ruehl HB Studio.

As a writer, his original feature screenplay, Imposter Syndrome, was named a semi finalist for both the Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Competition and the Scriptation Showcase, as well as a Quarter Finalist for the International Screenwriting Association Fast Track Fellowship.

What’s Happening?

April-June 2026: Vangeli is accepted into the Spring term of the Actors Gymnasium at HB Studio led by Mercedes Ruehl — winner of the Tony, Academy, and Golden Globe Awards.

June 2026: Vangeli joins the company of The Heads written and directed by members of the Manhattan Theatre Club and performed at the Center for Theatre Research.

October 2025: Vangeli’s feature length screenplay, Imposter Syndrome, advances to the Semi Finals in the Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Competition. Chosen from over 12,000 submissions.
